Agreed.

I always feel bad about not seeing them. I even miss them and our tiny but very ugly house and the garden in the town time forgot. I go to visit, taking some flowers with me, maybe some turkish delight cause Dad likes them. I get to the door and my mother is stood there waiting and smiling and utters the immortal words.

"Have you gain weight?"

....and I can't wait to get the hell out of there.

Because I'm sure you have definitely not put on weight, and sometimes chocolate is all that will do!

Sometimes? I believe you will find that chocolate is the appropriate response to any problem.

Just say no nan, I'm a muff muncher.

My grandparents just tell me really boring stories. I'd pray for a stern questioning.

Laughing out loud I don't think anything can shock her.

I honestly believe the middle east crisis could be solved if they gathered all the world leaders around a table and gave them all chocolate.

It's fine. I am soooo used to it. I know they care. They just have no sense of tact.If I ever put them in a home I would be asked to remove them in a week as The Mothership has upset three nurses over hair and make up and The Overlord has taken over the remote in the TV room and called them all communists cause they won't get him a Daily mail.
