Greenbelt Announcement (it's an arts festival)

ANNOUNCER: Tomorrow the Greenbelt Players will be putting on their version of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. That's at 3:15 in the red and yellow and green and brown and scarlet and black and ochre and peach and ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and cream and crimson and silver and rose and azure and lemon and russet and grey and purple and white and pink and orange and blue tent.

Very good, and very sharp.

I believe that's known in the trade as a rake gag.

I thought that was where you tread on one and it hits you in the nose??

Possibly but there's no way it would work any shorter. (For those who might not have noticed, it's the list of colours actually used in the song in Joseph AHATD)

I had no idea what a rake gag was. So I've learned something new today.

Yes, I got that. And there's nothing wrong with a rake gag, as I think Griff has amply demonstrated above.
