I know he's not funny but I always thought that was due to his audience. I never really had a problem with his observations, just his tendency to explain his jokes. I always thought he had to explain them because his general audience was slightly lacking.

I'm not 'in the industry', and couldn't really care what they think of him. And even if 'they' do hate him, it doesn't mean he's not funny. Or is it that he's not 'clever' enough? Thousands, if not millions of people find him extremely funny, but if you don't that's far enough. I just don't think you can slag him off on someone elses opinion.
