50 Films To See Before You Die.

Another Channel 4 list show on tonight at 9:00PM. With a cheerful & upbeat title I see.

So what's yours then? Not top 50 of course.

Mine would be, without much thought,

1. The Shawshank Redemption

Prediction: Apocalypse Now, seeing as it's on after the show.

1. Blade Runner

Ice Age

Muppet's Christmas Carol was close but it has to be Apocalypse Now

other contenders-Donnie Darko, Godfather, Team America, Trainspotting (in other words the usual)

Deer Hunter.
Pulp Fiction.
Donnie Darko, yes.

The usual, like you say.

Cor crikey... Donnie Darko was a load of nonsense, wasn't it?

Teen angst... wormholes... terrible, trying-too-hard dialogue about the Smurfs.

Still enjoyed it though... :D

I'd like to add 'Pink Velvet 2: The Loss of Innocence' to my list. A work of genius. ;)

Goodfellas no. 1

Blues Brothers

"Boy's you gotta learn not to talk to nuns that way" and "We're on a mission from God"

I love the film

Probably something else will win though

I thought you were suggesting there was a sequel, but I'm with you now...

Like Loaded Weapon 1, lol.

Probably the Star Wars Sexilogy (if that's the right word - probably not and I don't want Charley to get the wrong idea) cos it probably totals about 15 hours.

I take it this means JUST before you die cos this would stretch it out a bit!

The Shining
Pulp Fiction
Blue Velvet
The Descent
Blue Juice
Beetlejuice
Shaun of the Dead

The Shining, (one of) my favourite film!!

I'm really not a "film person" at all (I've only seen 5 of the aforementioned productions), but I'm going to go with Being There.
