But look before you leap and a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. :)

It is is better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved at all.

...losing still sucks though.

You know, I've never met anyone that has won ANYTHING. I think all competitions are scams. The tv industry is one big Blue Peter scandal.
I hope they announce the winners and show off their entries soon, so i can criticise them all and kid myself that 'I'm better then these idiots.'

Not that I'm a sore loser, of course.

But 1 in George Bush is worth 10 in the hand.

Kate bush is another matter altogether.....

n.b. there is no TV industry it's all made by alien robots on Neptune.

Except for Big Brother.

Daleks? Like on Doctor Who?

Dales aren't robots they're cyborgs on account of still containing some lving flesh. So nothing like Daleks.

More like the SMASH robots, only more evil

I can't believe nobody from BSG won this. Mind you I also can't beleive they had over 1000 entries. I think they f**ked themsleves up by allowing people to enter multiple times. I bet 950 of those 1000 entries came from a handful of twats who will have won just on the alw of porbabilities.

Huh! Losers. My entry was brilliant and must win. MUST I TELL YOU!!!!!!!

Have they announced the winners yet? The site's just showing a new competion

They're giving the nine finalists a week to respond. If they don't reply, they'll select someone else in their place.

Maybe they'll announce the finalists after this time?

That actually makes them Androids.

I'll get me coat Errr

I didn't enter this. I'm always wary when they start asking for something NEW and FRESH. It usually just means they want something wacky, but who knows.

Nope an android is a creature made from metal, and or flesh but all grown for that sole purpose.

e.g. The Terminator.

A cyborg is a preexisting naturally created piece of flesh supported by a mechanical body.

e.g. robocop or a dalek.

Of course season IV Daleks were created from cloned flesh from Davros, therefore they could be considered androids. Whilst earlier ones were made from kidnapped humans, and the population of Skaro. Hence Cyborgs.

I got my coat some considerable time ago.

A friend of mine entered this and put his entry online on a website, but he says that he read the page statistics and he hasn't had any other visitors to his page, with the exception of himself at home and at work.

That's now made me feel slightly suspect because I put my entry up on a well known social network site rather then send a direct e-mail (I don't think I'm able to check for unique visitors).

I presume the winners now all know (although they haven't put everyone completely out of their misery yet), but you can't help but question the whole thing.

Right. I sent mine by direct email and it can't be too problematic for them to send an automated acknowledgement of receipt to people.

And i kind of feel for some of those who had theirs elsewhere - i suspect that given the number of entries, if someone's sketch was in the slightest way not diectly visible it may have been passed over. >_<

I sent a link and attached a script. I got an email a day or two before they chose the final nine and asked me to re-send the script as they couldn't open it, so I don't have the excuse that they didn't even read or listen to mine!

Maybe because they had so many entries they only looked at or listened to the stuff they thought sounded interesting on the entry form? Don't know how they sifted through so much stuff in less than a week.

I know that in a previous similar comp run by the BBC all the audio entries were listened to by at least 2 judges.

The prize was to develop a full show for a new station.

There may have been a very high profile of competitors.
