Mock The Week - 2007 & 2008 Page 10

I was just surprised that someone wouldn't know that Heath Ledger had died, so I thought you were mocking me for explaining Frankie's joke. :)

And, you're not thick! :)

(Unless you are now mocking me - then you get a Angry!) ;)

Hahaha! I wasn't mocking you on either occasion honestly :).
I hardly ever get other people's jokes, I'm really rubbish. And I make a point of dodging the news cos there's nothing I can do about anything bad and it just makes me depressed and lose faith in humanity most of the time.

So you did clear up Frankie's joke for me (thank you btw), but it was too late to laugh!

"Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Whatever it is it's heading straight towards the World Trade Centre."

Yeah, that's the one that got the huge groan! Probably noone is really bothered by it, but just groaning cos the person next to them was and they want to look like they give a shit too!

Glad we got that cleared up Ian! :D

"Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Whatever it is it's heading straight towards the World Trade Centre."

That was a good one!

Frankies jokes (mentioned previously) were excellent as usual. I like Russell but his joke about putting marbles up his brothers bum was a just weird, not funny. I thought the woman (who she?) was pretty quiet apart from the first few minutes. Like the tall guy. Is he an actor or a comedian? I've only ever seen him as a teacher in The Inbetweeners.

Danielle Ward has written for quite a few radio shows, The News Quiz, The Now Show and is currently embarking on a stand-up career. I think she's intimated that she prefers writing rather than performing though...

I think that last night's guests were an attempt to boost the profile of some relative unknowns. Mock The Week might start to see itself as the breeding ground for new comics, which could be interesting. It's certainly a good trial-by-fire. I'd imagine it's harder to 'succeed' on Mock The Week than most panel shows, the other panellists are so obviously talented and competitive that a new comic would have to fight to prove their skill.

I liked the teacher from Inbetweeners. I wouldn't mind seeing him on it again.

He's a bit bloody scary though. Can you imagine being shut in a room with him?

He looks a bit like Rik Mayall (spelling?) on steroids. :)

Cool
Yup.

Cool
Yup.

That he's scary or that...no, surely not! Not even you!

Laughing out loud
I'm afraid so. Only a bit, but.. yeah.

Enjoyed last nights episode, definetly my favourite show on TV at the minute. You're a racist bastard Parson's. That why Cheese, Wine and Rubbish split up you know.

:O Huh? Errr :S Eh?

I mean...

:O Huh? Errr :S Eh?

Zooo has caused an unexpected error at address wtfx1000! Ian must now shut down!

That Parsons bloke though - has he ever said anything funny? It just seems to me he relies on a stupid tone of voice to get his laughs from those that do actually oblige him.

He's very funny at times, but I'm not entirely sure that his style is suited to Mock The Week.

Oh, and the guy from The Inbetweeners is Greg Davies. He's also in that awful 'We Are Klang' trio, or whatever they're called.

Seriously, I must've missed them!

No, that was hilarious!

I can see where Nil's coming from. It was a bit weird. It kind of brought disturbing memories up of the Bulger murder.

Parsons is certainly the weakest of the four regulars. Frankie is obviously the funniest, then Hugh and then Russell. I do like Andy Parsons though.
