Really? Really the best? Okay - graphics were great, but for my 9 year old brother he was bored as hell after the first hour. I was too.

Yes really. It's not Pixar's fault kids and many adults today need consistent gags and action to retain their fleeting attention spans. I thought Wall-E was a smart, beautiful and thought provoking and reminded me of some of the better children's films of yesteryears. It also worked well as a creative sci-fi unlike the drivel called sci-fi today like the new Who and Torchwood.

You must run! Run like the wind!

I did a laugh.

WALL-E is a fun film, the hype doesn't help it really as you are expecting something phenomenal when really its just a nice film.

The interaction at the beginning is with the world and introducing us to WALL-E's character and the situation. There were a lot of funny moments here, not all interaction has to involve characters.

WALL-E did look, act and sound a lot like Johnny No.5 from Short Circuit though and there did seem to be more laughs from adults than kids in the cinema. Personally, I preferred Toy Story, Nemo and Monsters Inc. more, but Pixar are excellent at producing good quality films (they didn't do Shrek!).

I can't wait to see Dark Knight, but I think I should lower my expectations so I can be pleasantly surprised.

Gonna rule!!

"Who...who are you?"

"I'm Batman!"

du du duuuuu du dudly duuuu du duuuuu

Watched Wall-E last night. Really enjoyed it. It's very good. I think we were sat too close to the screen (row C) so started getting a neckache about half-way through, but I think it would be unfair to hold Pixar responsible.

Anyway, recommended. A lot of the running around bits reminded me of Monsters, Inc and I reckon it's almost on a par with it.

Incidentally, Hancock is great fun and really good, as said, for the first hour. Then it goes all 'American' which is disappointing (but by no means crap, just not as good). I heard somewhere(like I Am Legend) that test screenings didn't go down too well, so they reshot the second half.

Did Monsters, Inc actually have a storyline?

Did Monsters, Inc actually have a storyline?

No. Just John Goodman, shouting over it all.

I remember watching and just thinking "What's happening? What's the story? This is just a 'sample' film showing what their CGI is capable of." And generally being even MORE disappointed than I thought I was going to be.

Anyone seen Donkey Punch?

It's not that - they hype ruined it for me and I was expecting something spectacular. It's different and nice, and has a great "moral" to it. I just went with the wrong expectations and it spoilt the whole viewing pleasure.

Just been to see 'The Dark Knight'-freaking awesome.

Heath Ledger was amazing, that whole mouth thing was way cool.

He was great, but the whole story was actually really deep and grown up-it wasn't just beat up the bad guy. But Ledger was amazing. Cant believe it was a twelve though! I saw six year olds coming in with their parents-that was way too dark and scary for a six year old surely?! And, in fact, I would imagine it would have bored many six year olds to death-it was a grown-ups movie.

It was very good, but yes very dark, the whole pencil scene.
