So?
Lee Evans - rubbish or good?
Better than good.
I haven't seen him on anything for aaaages.
I used to really like him in the early(/mid?) 90s!

Lots.
He sweats more than any other human.

Paramount broadcast at least one of his shows most weeks.

If only.
Well if I had Paramount... I'd be on here a lot less.

Hahah!
No, Lee Evans is the King of that. Don't try and take it away from him.
Absolutely hilarious. Next!
I've come to the realisation that while I don't rate his material, his stage presence is awesome.
There aren't many comedians who could perform in front of 10 thousand people.
As a performer is really is formidable, but I think is material is mostly broad and a tad trite at times.
I only started the thread because I've been watching some stuff on YouTube and was just amazed how he manages to fill the stage.
I h8 Lee Evans.
Who would win in a fight between him and Joe Pasquale?
Agree Seefacts that his material is, at best, weak, but his actual performance and delivery are pretty great. I used to find him very funny when I was a kid and he first appeared, probably because of the physicality. But yeah, his material would die on its arse without the clowning. Hes a good clown.
Yeah. Excellent, awe-inspiring performer with rubbish material. And that's enough for the crowds that go see him, so fair enough I suppose.
The general public do love him. Like Matt said, he's a clown, and the public like a clown.
I think he's great.
