Where the lad's brother had been abducted in the woods and then reappeared at night, shrouded in mist and tapping on his bedroom window. I slept with the lights on for a month after first seeing that...

Zelda. I misheard the name of the illness she had and thought it was the one my aunt was suffering from. Half my childhood did I spend waiting for her to turn into Zelda. She didn't.

The book is similar, but in it's own way it's way darker.
About one of the darkest msot disturbing horror novels.
Becuase unlike most, it's actually about death and grief.
I found Event Horizon... oddly disturbing and scary especially when my friend HAD to show me the quick cut scenes on slow motion on DVD.
