Dunno, people spend more than that making their homes look nice.

I wouldn't. If I didn't have a girlfriend that is. Stupid girlfriend. Yes we could spend four grand doing up the bathroom, but I could also spend that on many, many things I give a crap about. Rather than a crap in.

Objects of desire: Speakers.

Alright, alright, own up. Who nicked Darth Vader's helmet?

(Not his bell-end.)

Love it. It's original - half painting, half sculpture, goes great in my flat and one of a kind.

Awezome.

As long as you like it.
If I had money to spare I'd buy some paintings. As long as it wasn't something I could make a reasonable copy of myself.

Yeah, but on half a kitchen. Or carpetting the upstairs. Or re-painting every wall in the house. Not one tiny f**king bit of thing that goes on a wall!

You're f**king nuts mate.

We can't all live in underground bunkers surrounded by nazi memorabilia.

We can in Aaron's dreams!

It's not tiny and it's already gone up in value. You spend £1200 on a TV and six months later it's worth half that.

My eyesight gets worse every year. I doubt I'll notice any improvement until they perfect intraocular implants.

I dunno, when the camera's up at the kind of height of the famous photos of the Empire State Building's construction workers, and you can clearly see individual people walking along at ground level, I don't think that crappy eyesight will hinder it too much.

Then again, it took them 40 years to make a screen capable of displaying HD correctly, and get it to a reasonable price, so by the time SHD is perfected you may well be dead anyway.

I don't think it's nuts, just pricy!

I admit to have a blatant copied print (Well downloaded image and framed pic) of Annie Sprinkles Anatomy of a pin up which I got as a gift for an ex flatmate who was in the same sexuality in performance module with me at uni (it was interesting but wierded me out a lot!). It's in my cupboard but I shall hang it when my room is done.

That's what really matters. Forget about the investment angle.

Almost everyone has a friend who makes art. Ask him/her to make you something and do the same for them. Cheap and fun.

My mother can takes $10 worth of materials and turn them into something magical.

Da Butt I jsut had too stick a penicl in my hand, to keep from making a cheap smutty joke.

Ouch!

Yeah, but I can't say it ever crosses my mind to buy something just so I could sell it on later for a bit extra. If I buy it I want to keep it. Nice picture though, and if its what youre into. And stuff. I think I would have to be seriously drowning in money before I could bring myself to splash cash like that about on something like a picture.

I'd never spend £1,200 on a TV. I'm savi- Actually, better not go there. It's a bit dodgy.

(And they don't depreciate in price quite that quickly, but point taken!)

IT's like normal TV but slightly crisper...

A bit too noisy for me.

Plasmas maybe banned as they're very bad for the environment, so resale vlaue could shoot up.
