Doorbell

A bit odd.. yeah. A bit obvious.. possibly. but here it is...

INT. SITTING ROOM. DAY.

A MIDDLE-AGED MAN AND WOMAN ARE MID-ARGUMENT, THE WOMAN IS PUTTING ON A JACKET WHILST ARGUING.

WOMAN
I really don't see the problem here. You are behaving like such a child...

MAN
Well if you didn't treat me like one sometimes...

WOMAN
Oh we are SOO not having that argument again..

SUDDENLY THE DOORBELL RINGS, THE WOMAN STORMS OFF IN A HUFF.

CUT TO:

INT. HALLWAY. DAY.

THE WOMAN OPENS THE DOOR, A BOOKISH 20 SOMETHING STANDS IN THE DOORWAY.

CALLER
Mrs Prendaghast?

WOMAN (SHOUTING OFF)
Right, your badysitters here
(TO CALLER)
Don't let him stay up too late.

MAN (OOV)
You said I could watch Big Brother.

WOMAN
Makes sure he cleans his blocks up first.

WOMAN LEAVES

BACK TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM. DAY.

MAN IN LIVING ROOM, PAN TO REVEAL BLOCKS ARE ALL OVER THE SHOP.

I could see it as an animation. Quite a nice little gag, didn't split the sides but was still pretty good. :)

I could imagine Peter Griffin as the guy.

How about dropping the line "your babysitter's here" and gradually reveal he's the babysitter?

e.g
"mrs Prendegast?"
"Hello. He's in the living room. Help yourself to the snacks in the fridge. I should be back by 11.30."
"Right"
"Make sure he doesn't stay up too late and make sure he brushes his teeth before bed. Oh, and get him to clear up his blocks..."

Good idea there.

Maybe the blocks are a bit too young. Puts me in mind (rather unpleasantly) of those Men and women who like to dress up as babies.

Train Set ?

But really you want an ambiguos name that could be an adult thing, but you reveal to be the childish variant.

"Painting stuff", perhaps.

Spiderman toys

Aye just "Toys" would work.

Like it Danny. A good JM's vid here in my opinion. Mart as the man.. you as the babysitter.. Dave as the woman.. me on camera.. Jack missing as usual .. just like old times!!! Laughing out loud

I could have gone on filming our stuff forever!!! What a gas it was!!! Cool

What a pity I had to go on the bins.. :(
