It's all I'm sending.
But I think in the application it's a good idea to think of a framing skit show, for your skits.

I actually described a skit show I'd like to produce, well 2 SCUBE, and In the Dog.
I think they're looking for actual shows, so the more your skits are part of a conected whole (e.g. thematically similar).
May suggest they try brining back Week ending?
So I shouldn't have sent them my idea for a new Blind Date featuring me Liz Sladen, and Sigounrey Weaver in a cellar.
and the idea of an open talent show for radio, there msut be a need.
Griff's right - send in anything, but best to show you're thinking about radio when you wrote it.
It is a great opportunity, I hope they consider people who just write, rather than going for people who perform also.
What file format is best to send? I wanted to send it in .pdf form but I keep getting errors when I try.
Quote: Bam! @ July 15 2008, 7:03 PM BSTI registered yesturday and have not recieved any confirmation although hopefully I will once I send something off.
Have I missed something? Where do you register? I just thought you emailed them your stuff? This is still the E4 radio comp?
Also are you sending in sketches or programme concepts?
If i'm wanting to send more things in, do i have to fill in all that information again, or just drop it off in an email quickly?
Yes, i am dense. It's genetic.
I completely forgot about this!
Just as well I had a look on here today then, I might quickly rustle something up, although I do suspect I've left this till too late in the day to have a real go at it.
is .doc acceptable? Or .rtf? Maybe I should trying asking Channel 4 this?
Forget that. I tried again and .pdf worked. Not sure what the problem was before.
I've never followed any C4 radio shows. Can you use profanity and mock celebs, coz you can't on 4laughs.
Radio channel 4, and E4 are new as afar as I know.
Personally I'd follow Tilt style guide lines, fairly clean, nothing to libellous.
On the other hand this stuff isn't for broadcast, so you might as well turn out your biggest guns.
More than anything else as ever you're trying to attract the interest of a bored script reader.

I don't think you have to do the form everytime. At least I hope not, as you can't send attachment with it and I've been e-mailing separately I'd be screwed.
Good luck to everyone on this. I'm going to chuck a few sketches in - not hoping for much. I might leave that last line out of my application.
Quote: Griff @ July 18 2008, 3:57 PM BSTYeah I'm going to take advantage of the "multiple submissions allowed" rule and send one last batch tonight...
Good Luck everyone ? Pish and tish. I'm hoping you lot all have Internet problems and none of your entries even get there.
I'm hoping they'll make a mistake and pick me
I've never entered a radio sketch competition before and i have a technical query. At the end of a page and the head of the next do you have to write (cont). I've got scriptsmart but it's not clear so i'm doing without it.
Dunno, I've not bothered.
Rule of thumb, if it's clear and people can see what you're writing you should be ok.
