I'm not entirely sure what fish cakes are.
Really? Like fish fingers but round. And maybe a few 'erbs 'n' stuff. I'm no Ramsey, as you can probably tell. They are definitely not cakes for fish.

Ohhhh, okay.
I've not had them.
They are basically potato and parsley cakes.
And fish obviously.

You must go to a really posh chippy!
No, why?, is that posh? I always thought they were the fish version of sausages (if you know what I mean). No fish for me of any kind. Plain sausage & chips with a pot of curry sauce for me.

Hmmm, all I can say is I've never experienced a fishcake that contained fish!
I just had beefburger patty and chips actually.
I just had graduation celebratory steak and chips. *Does the truffleshuffle*

Yeah, that link may be a bit posh. Salmon etc. The ones I use to eat were grey-ish. Which is never a good sign. Anyway, enough with the fishcakes, I'm off.

Ouch indeed!
What sort of batter do you like Aaron?
I remember going to a seafood restaurant in Italy and after about 6 courses I was getting a tad bored with seafood.
Quote: Aaron @ July 16 2008, 6:11 PM BSTYep.
The only way I can eat fish is when I don't taste it. So from my local chip shop, drowned in HP Sauce, and in the same mouthful as a couple of chips.
With rising cod prices isn't that both really expensive, and enviromentally unfriendly for some thing you dislike?
Why not have a Pukka Pie, or a pasty?
