What they striking about?
Poor pay, Unsound Brown has basically capped public sector pay raises by about half inflation for the forseeable future.
I suppose if your a manager, or 5 aday coordinator fair does you're doing ok.
But care assisstants, dinner ladies, bin men are really being punished because Thickie chancellors haven't done their sums properly.
And frankly nurses still earn under £20,000 PA on average, after 3 years training, and 5 years work.
Great start to the day! Filled thecar up, "full-to-burstin" with waste from the garage. Drove to the recycling centre only to find it shut. Refuge collection staff on strike for a couple of days! I should listen to the local news more carefully.
I need the car tomorrow so I'll be unloading it all again later today & put it back into the garage! Oh well it's good exercise.

I'm anything but picky, the term refuge in the context was quite funny.

Unison the largest public sector union, and I think maybe some others.
Basically any one who does something, you wouldn't want to for low pay, in local gouvernemn .
