Exactly. It's so liberating
Quote: Nil Putters @ July 14 2008, 11:07 PM BSTZooo, don't start without me (give me 5mins )
As much as 5 minutes? You're letting down the side.
Quote: Finck @ July 14 2008, 11:08 PM BSTNew word alert!

"Aaron. No social interaction since 1999."
If I were a product in an internetless world, that would be my tagline.

It is indeed. But not only with regard to overcoming shyness.
Are you implying some kind of filth?
I wouldn't say "overcoming" though. More bypassing.

I'd never!
I like getting to know people without knowing how they look. I never try to find pictures of people that I know from reading only (especially scientists and writers). And that has nothing to do with shyness. I just love how people are through the filter of their own words and without the filter of my superficial prejudices.
Ahhh, ok, that's cool.
I'd like to mention at this point that however much of a knob you must think I am, it'd be worse if you saw me. So that's a policy which works in my favour.

I really don't know why I should think you're a knob.
And there's no need to tell me how very ugly you are (I'm quite sure you're not), as I was trying to make a point above that it really is of little consequence how you look, because I have no intention of seeing anyone of you beautiful people.
BTW: I hope I'm not so shallow as to throw the firm opinion I've formed of someone overboard on finding them to be _looking_ different than I thought.
This all sounds confused. I apologize.

I think we judge too quickly on looks. It's a shame.
Agreed.
