I am a bit bored this week having time off work. It's so wet here, there is nowt to do so I thought I'd do this post to pass some time and maybe get some insight for maybe a new article. I am always interested in why people like the music they like. Why people choose punk or pop and how important certain songs and band are to peeps. As a massive choonage fan, this has been so hard but I have finally pick my top ten all time choons and have given reasons why I like them. I haven't put the in order cause that would have made it impossible. Expect this to change every ten posts.
Life on Mars - David Bowie I am a massive Bowie fan. Always have been, always will be. This is my fave Bowie choon of all time.
Just like I am - Electrocute Electrocute are my fave band and I love this song as it is such a change from their normal in your face electropunk style.
Something to do with my hands - Her space holiday Don't ask me why but I find this song very romantic despite it not being a love song and a lot better than some of the cheesey love songs that exist out here with "oh baby" lines. If Christian Slater turned up at my place playing this outside my window, I'd die happy!
Romeo - Donna Summer Flash dance anyone? I don't care that it is so cheesey, Donna Summer kicks arse!
Perfect day - Lou Reed I love Lou Reeds voice. It's very smokey and soft yet powerful and this song always makes me blub! Why? I have no clue. Hate the BBC version though.
Gold - Spandau Ballet Reminds me of arsing about at uni with my best friend. We made up cheesy moves and played it a lot at work and danced between serving customers.
Hey Jude - The Beatles While on tour a few years ago in France, we had three CD's between us to play on the bus. The other two were Pink and Mariah Carey. Guess which CD was the only one we played. Plus this song reminds me of our own JOOOOOOOOOOOOODE!
Jique - Brazilian girls I love it when bands make a real effort when it come to live performances. Sadly so many bands are pants live. Brazilian girls make every performance a little artistic piece.
A Whiter shade of pale - Procol Harum Oh god, this was from when me and my friends got shockingly smashed (again, at uni) and did this for karaoke and basically killed it. You have to go as high as you can on the fourth line! With feeling and JD.
Wish you were here - Pink Floyd Massive Pink floyd fan in my teens. I had long greasy hair and lived in baggy Nirvana tees, baggier jeans, and huge boots! I didn't discover make up and skirts until I was 18! (Soap and shampoo I discovered sooner)
So come on! I really want to know want music makes everyone tick!
Hoping the links work first time around!
