Ha!
What a very Giles-Coren-in-Regency-outfit thing to say.

I try.

Bit of free advice though, don't promenade with Aaron.

You never know where those hands have been.

Damn, it's at the RAH. But Freema's presenting it, not Tennant, so prbly not as good as last time.

I wonder what those 4 specials will be about....

Automatically shit. :P

Standard operating procedure for filling the gap between broadcasts is afaik wild speculation combined with nervously quoting every single burp of everyone who has at least one cousin involved in the production (or says so on imdb). But we could also spend the time dreaming of possible future doctors and companions.

*steps into TARDIS with Stephen Dillane as Doctor in it*

I could be the nerdy companion with the suspicious accent...

Oh my God! What have they done to the Daleks??? :O

You're telling me that all German people think they sound like that? Angry

AND...apparently it's 'Exterminieren, exterminieren' (or ...aren,VL?):D

I actually think the old translation is better. They chose "exterminieren" in Journey's End to make it more recognizable to English viewers.

The high pitched voice really is ridiculous, but the translation and the performance of the speakers are alright.

I've only just found out that the new series is on German TV as well and from what I saw on youtube the translation is so abysmally bad I'd never watch it here.

I actually thought about writing to the BBC about it. It's really embarrassing because it makes the programme and especially the actors appear really bad.

Typical shoddy Beeb. I would write for what it's worth.
They should be making an effort to sell this great show to as wide an audience as possible.

Now thats some good writing

I don't think they have a say in it once the programme is sold.

For me it would suffice if I could somehow subscribe to the iPlayer. I'd even pay British license fees if necessary. But as long as they don't want my money I will *acquire* all your brilliant programmes by other means (tm).

Are you a girl Finck, or a boy Finck, Finck?

Can't you just use a British proxy server?
By the way, I'm a big Fix und Foxy fan :)
My aunty used to send me little graphic novels and I'd read them with the help of a dictionary!

I always finck that Finck's avatar is Herr Flick.

Doesn't work with the iPlayer. The Beep has some sort of white list of valid IPs.
That's as far as I've come, maybe there's some Russian wonder proxy by now.

I didn't even know that they were a German product! I had a few and my best friend was quite a fan. I used to read The Peanuts and Garfield a lot. I still laugh out loud at the mere thought of Odie being pushed off the edge of the table by Garfield. But we're drifting into the arena of the OT.
