Well I think she'd be quite happy to let them have a careful look through, but only in an instruction-manual way, not that they could take home themselves or anything.
But only select scenes of course - non of this boring war/army stuff! 
And I'm sure the book would fall open on just the right pages

Ok, you were reading a book about the Muslim holy book - Muslims, rightly or wrongly, have become associated with suicide bombers.
I bought a Jeremy Clarkson book for my holiday it's good because it's funny as and they're a collection of his articles so it's very much a pick up and put down book - Perfect
I can't imagine you reading on a holiday.
