How do you copy material from a DVD camera onto the pc? I'm stumped. I want to post some stuff on You Tube but haven't got the foggiest.

Is it Fire wire or USB 2?
Get yourself DVD Decrypter (Google it - free program). That'll let you grab the video files from the DVD. (Set it to be in IFO mode.)
Beyond that, I have no idea.

lol! dvd decrypter?? we're not in the dark ages...
and if it's a camera it should plug straight into the PC surely?
You'll need some kind of TV capture card for a start I'd imagine. Make sure the input is compatible with the output of your camcorder too. You may want to visit a video editing forum though. This site (http://www.videohelp.com/) contains lots of guides and info. 
would help if knew what camera really.
