That's Homeward Bound! And it's two dogs and one cat. And again I've cried so so many times at that in the past. The bit at the end of Homeward Bound 2 where they're waiting for Shadow who fell in the hole and injured himself, and it looks like he hasn't made it and then you see him limping over the hill towards the house and it's like awwww and I cry like a baby girl.

You're right, one of them is a cat, which I forgot. I'm glad you enjoy it too, NickTheDon. I think I've only seen the first one, all I could remember is that Michael J Fox does the voice of the younger dog.

I also go sniffly at the bit where Ewan sings that song though. Just cos he's so good.

When she dies and he's singing/screaming in pain? Yeah Great film.

That bit too. But the first time he sings Your Song, when they're all happy.

Sophies Choice, now there's a sad film.

I still haven't seen that.
I keep meaning to.

Not many make me sad but I always get really choked at the end of Scrooge (the Albert Finney one) when he's turned nice and everyone's dancing in the street, and he just slopes off alone saying "Merry Christmas".

And the ending to Love Actually where they've filmed all the real people at airports hugging relatives and friends, with that song "God Only Knows What I'd Be Without You" playing.

[sniff]

For me it's The Elephant Man. If I'd been around then I would have married him. But that would have probably done him more harm than good.

The end of Withnail & I is also very sad.

Great shout. Not a fan of Withnail & I though. One of the most overrated films out there imo.

Wander what the Elephant man's knob looked like?

Although it is a very effecting film.
