A Slagg Brothers' Sketch

Had a break from writing to film a new batch of sketches. First one is up on ComedyBlaze at: http://comedyblaze.tv/templates/showDetailsTemplate.php?itemId=MTAyNw==&itemType=NA==&CBSESSID=266d2aa8bd26a5ab49c1b575e06f5eb0

Or at our YouTube account: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=XSUq2g-1DeE (although the YouTube audio is distorting slightly - despite the levels being OK in the original file.)

With thanks in advance for your time.

P.S. If any performers / self-producers on here haven't yet added themselves to the Comedy Blaze site; it's a good alternative to YouTube - larger file sizes and feature length time allowances.

____ing funny.

Featured! :) About bloody time! Nice one guys!

SlagA, for the uninitiated, are you the one with the BEEP problem or the Doctor?

Def.

Very nice indeed. And the team is expanding I see!

:)

Cheers - was amazed to see it featured. Didn't know until I read this.

Def: I'm the one in a gasmask. I'm never seen. Not even at 4Laughs bashes because I'm chained to my PC shouting "I will shave another 4/100th of a second off this bloody clip."

Oh you're the one in the gasmask? I always thought you were the other one.

Anyway, it's your best sketch yet.

It was good mate but expect no lesss from you guys now. Funny, timing was good.

Shot for me wasnt perfect there seemed to be alot of space there that wasnt being used, also it looks a little saturated, May be due to the light source coming in directly on the Doctors back. Or might be my monitor thought I'd mention it though.

But niggly thing really top work mate!

You're right, Gav.

We're still working with a camera that has issues with lighting. We had to film up against a huge window in blazing sunlight before the faces began to show up. Then I had to angle them so that they weren't directly looking at each other just to get good angles to the light source. The field of view is also naff so i can't get in close. In the end, they were both jammed up against the table just to fit into frame.

But I am getting a decent camera soon - must have mini DV to get uncompressed output / High Def. Thinking of the Canon HV30 - it lacks 3ccd which I think is a must for low light but it has a large CMOS sensor that is supposed to be comparable.

Any techies here think the HV30 is a good buy or am I missing an obvious prosumer choice?

Didn't really like this. It was very obvious from the start. Also Leigh Francis did it better in Bo Selecta, with Michael Jackson and the Osbournes. Though I doubt if you care.

On a seperate point: How old is Slag B? He looks about 50.

well done on the feature - prepare to be told you suck a thousand times in a minute !! WTF! WTF! LOL etc.

Re sketch - I'd like to have seen more swearing/ beeping, culminating in a continuous over the top beep. But, very nice......

Never watch Bo Selecta, but I do find that there are folks on this Board who are unable to distinguish between 'been done before' and 'someone had a vaguely similar idea and took it in a totally different direction'.

I enjoyed this.

Not seen Bo Selecta.

SlagB 50? I like you. SlagB won't but I do. Laughing out loud

I like the suggestion too, Nick.

Being told I suck a thousand times a minute, now my hobby mirrors my real life Teary :D

Then you missed a treat! Most folks on this board can "distinguish" between 'been done before' and 'someone had a vaguely similar idea and took it in a totally different direction', I can also distinguish when something has been done better. I had high hopes for this, but it didn't meet them. I'm sure Slag A or B don't mind me having an opinion on this, even if it does differ from everyone elses.

'Course not.
