Quote: Gavin @ July 5 2008, 7:59 PM BST1st gen Tennant was 10 so this Tennant is 11. So he can only die once more with natural regeneration then he'll have to do like the Master did in OS and steal life.
I was *sure* he only had nine to begin with, but I guess not. And did Tennant really regenerate? I thought not.
Edit - Wiki says 12, so it must be 12.
Quote: sootyj @ July 5 2008, 7:55 PM BSTAnd all that shoe horning so every one gets what they want, I mean is this a show thats scared of pathos, or any kind of emotional weight.
You're watching for the wrong reasons. That's like reading Harry Potter and complaining about the lack of weight to it's story. It's entertainment, it's not meant to be a masterpiece.

Well he did kinda die, I'm not sure if this counts you see.
Quote: sootyj @ July 5 2008, 7:56 PM BSTAnd for the last time Billi Piper can not act.
Ah, shaddup will 'ya?! You are wrong, she quite clearly can.
Very good episode, I know why some won't like it, but it was a great romp i thought, and extremely sad at the end with Donnas mind being wiped. I think it's to do with her grandads reaction, he must have the saddest face on TV; every time he's on Im close to blubbing! This episode was really a celebration of the RTD era, all his characters together for a big send off! Even K9 popped up! Yes you could say things like the TARDIS pulling the Earth along was silly, but who cares really? It's supposed to be fun! And any one else think, along with Martha, that theres a chance Mickey may turn up in Torchwood?

We need an "Ask RTD" service.

No, he didn't do a full regeneration. He captured the regeneration energy. I think.

Lol he'd just do his camp laugh and say "you'll have to wait and see"
But it probably won't count...but it should coz it did regenerate a whole doctor out of the hand.
We need Laura to come and impart her wisdom!

Dr Who, since it's come back, has been more human and emtotional than it ever, ever was. I'll point you towards the sad fate of Donna; if that didn't pull at your heartstrings a bit then you're far too cynical!!!

That might balance it out a bit and make the show watchable.
I assume that wouldn't count as a regeneration, just because it's more practical.
The good thing about it is that its wrapped up ready for new writers to take over so now lingering RTD threads really so they can do anything again.

Yeah, i really like Mickey. Everyone hated him when he first appeared, but by the end of his regular appearances, he was loved. A great character arc he had, similar to Donna in some ways.
I'd completely forgotten about Gwen having been a maid in the Gelf episode! I said it right at the start of the Torchwood very loudly and often, but none of my family believed me that it was somewhat linked until tonight.
