Guest appearances

You're allowed to take a character or characters from one sitcom and insert them into another...

Who? What? Where? When?... and...Consequences?

The nearest thing to this I can remember is Richard Wilson's appearance as something close to Meldrew in an episode of Father Ted in the 90s.

Wasn't Richard Wilson actually playing himself? Not Meldrew.

Yes indeed. I said 'close to Meldrew', n'est-ce pas?

Not really.

But it's a good idea for a thread, regardless.

How about Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bucket as Richie and Eddy's house cleaner in Bottom

IMMENSE idea! :D

I'll take Henry Newhouse from Casanova '73 (played by Leslie Phillips), and put him in either Terry And June or The Green Green Grass, as a more modern offering.

That would actually amuse me greatly.

What, cited in their divorce?

Frank Spencer checks into Fawlty Towers.

Now that would be good.

Basil might end up topping himself though.

How about Father Jack (Father Ted) becoming the new Vicar of Dibley?

Only if he goes on a killing spree.

Cruel one I know but . . . .

Hancock as Camp Comic in Hi De Hi !

Well... I, moi, me, myself personally had been thinking of maybe having Alan (Statham) and Joanna (Clore) re-emerge from the waves somewhere close to Walmington-on-Sea...

Frank Spencer checks into Fawlty Towers.

That would actually be the best thing ever.
