That is pretty sad, the book even more so.

I always prefer the book... was incredible. I was just annoyed I'd seen the film before reading the book. Normally I avoid that.
Books always make me cry more than films.
The book was sadder, and harsher, it also had a really salty sense of humour.
I read it in the individual chaprter I was so hooked. I literally bought them found some where to sit and read 'em end to end usually in about 2 hours.

Oooh oh oh show me... I am so insanely amused when men do that joke!
Quote: zooo @ July 4 2008, 5:16 PM BSTI also cried once when Pee Wee Herman's bike got stolen.
Wasn't there a porn star called Elephant Stan?
Star of "Nellie packs his elephant trunk?"
JOke???!!!!
Its an uncannily (?) naturalistic impersonation!

Quote: sootyj @ July 4 2008, 5:22 PM BSTStudent of the bloody obvious. Why do you think men want to stand on the back of a thundering 12 foot beast, pumping at great speed, and ejaculating clouds of steam every where.
Because it's cool.

Ellie knows all about those.

Yes, I've seen that. It's pets or dogs that do it for me. Lassie films especially. There's one disney film in particular, where 3 dogs get lost and have to make their way home across the countryside. It often comes on TV and I sit there sweating blood that the dogs make it home in the end. Even though I've seen it before!
I have actually left the room when I've seen in the listings that My Dog Skp is on, because it's that sad. Or I'm that pathetic.
I have but a hard, stoney, cold heart, and so do not cry at films.
Never ever? How about if it featured a cat suffering?
