I'm not quite sure what the theme of this topic is, but the comedy films of the last 2 years that I've liked are:
Superbad
Little Miss Sunshine
Thank You For Smoking
Napoleon Dynamite
Clerks 2
Hot Fuzz

Take Mallrats 2 out of that equation and I'm with you all the way.
Cannibal the Musical is a good one.
Aw, I love that I've not seen any of these.
I tell you what I thought WAS bad - Run, Fatboy, Run.
Noooooooooooooot funny.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall this year was fooking excellent.
I was dubious of FSM due to it starring Russell Brand, but I have heard good things about it. I must check it out soon.

No it wasn't.
Anything by Kevin Smith gets my vote. Well maybe not Chasing Amy.

It doesn't get mine. Although I did like than van load of women in PVC catsuits in one of his films.
I like Chasing Amy!
It would have been better without the girl though.
ie, I love the comic book stuff, and find his male characters' friendships much more interesting than his romance storylines.
Dogma's good too. And Clerks.
Mallrats is okay.
Actually Dogma is quite good. His other stuff gets on my nerves though. And he always strikes me as a bit of a beardy twat.
Well he is a bit.
He's quite nice though.
Dogma is a top film. Mallrats too, you can't beat the stink palm and Silent Bob trying to use the force. An Evening with Kevin Smith is a good (if you like him), he's pretty funny I think.

The woman in Chasing Amy does have an annoying voice, but it's an ace film. Clerks is obviously his best, and Mallrats, Clerks 2 and Jay And Silent Bob are great too. Dogma bored the tits off me when I watched it. I am now titless. Shame for Smith that I don't think he's ever going to be able to top his first film, Clerks is just one of the all time great comedies.
