Hello everyone, just to say hi before I fly home from Tenerife! So relaxed... damn - work tomorrow!

ELLIE LIKES MUFF

Wait ... Work tomorrow? Already? :/

You made a biology joke? Tut tut.

Also am I missing something, why is "what's guanine?" a joke?

(Skipping back a bit!) Because it sounds like "What's gwanin'?" as in, "What's going on?", but guanine is actually the complementary base to cytosine in DNA.

"What's gwanin'?" Kids today...

Sorted out Reading yet?

I know - what are we going to do with them!?

Nope, but I have to order the train tickets soon. I'm really excited, but quite apprehensive. I had a great picnic today though! How was your day?

A picnic? During school? Sounds brilliant.

My day was dull, dull, dull. Most of my lessons were cancelled or pointless. We shouldn't be in school at the moment...

It was because my favourite Spanish teacher is leaving! He was almost crying, and was completely surprised when he saw us all. We got the other teacher to say they were going to a meeting; and then bring him to the 6th form garden. He said he's going back to Spain to tell his girlfriend that she "has to marry [him] because [his] year twelves say so!" He's so sweet, and we embarrassed him by doing impressions of all the excruciating moments he's had!

Why do they keep getting cancelled? And how's Blake?

That sounds nice.

Various reasons. Mainly the teachers are in and out of school on various trips. No Blake today. We did have a talk from an author, felt a little like an extended advert for her next book though...

It was lovely, but my legs have been bitten all over by bugs. :(

Hmm the talks like that always are adverts. Who was she?

Susie Cornfield or something similar. Can't remember really.

It was not an effective advert then...I don't know why they bother, to be honest.

It as meant to be about getting into writing, which is why I went. It was more about publishing though, which was quite dull.

Oh my lord! I just noticed that I now have 1170 posts! :O

Or even 1170.

Did it encourage you, despite the emphasis on publishing? Nothing could've put me off more than Royal Holloway I don't think.
