Hi
I think stage comedy would sort out the real comediens from the rest, To stand up in front of an audience of hundreds and entertain them for a few hours would have to be The ultimate test,
I took part in the pre recorded SitCom ShowDown earlier this year, with Danny Baker and Linda Robson, our Catagory was the Dinnerladies, The Audience was about 50 strong,I was dreading having to stand up and do my party piece, But when the time came I enjoyed every minute,But there is no way i could stand up on stage in front of hundreds of people and make them laugh with me, you have to have a special talent for that,I was helped along that day so any mistakes i made were covered by the Professional cast,IE Danny Baker & Linda Robson.

What a good experience to have Ells. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love Dinnerladies too, but I wouldn't have braved the show! I think I'd better stick to writing!
If you get it right and if you can be sharp enough then nothing betters performing in front of an audience. The unpredictable nature can lead to some very good stuff generated on the spot in my experience.
