Best comedy film ever? Page 3

Both Ace Ventura's and Dumb & Dumber. Plus all the Monty Pythons.

Fantastic choices.

Airplane! and Naked Gun would be on my list too. Hard to pick one funniest film.

I have recently bought all three naked gun films. The second one is the best.

Has anyone mentioned Groundhog Day yet ?

(Resists obvious gag of posting this multiple times...)

I've never seen it - which is just as well because don't you hae to keep watching it?

Groundhog Day's brilliant!!

Nearly as funny as Ghostbusters.

It was just on the basis of the word "naked", wasn't it?

Obviously most blokes would run a mile from Groundhog Day due to the presence of that simpering ninny Andie MacDowell, who in every possible respect embodies the exact opposite of what men look for in a woman.

The good news is that the presence of the mighty Bill Murray overcomes this casting handicap and the end result is not only hilarious but very, very clever.

Remind me when it's next on telly then.

Oh god I hate Andie McDowell.
But she is at least less annoying in that than she is in Four Weddings.

Don't you love her in those adverts?

Adverts? What? Thing? Who is this woman?

'Cos I'm/you're/they're/f**k off worth it.

And while I'm at it, some noteworthy films from North of the border. (That's Scotland Aaron. You know that fictitious place your parents tried to protect you from)

Whisky Galore, Local Hero and Gregory's Girl.

She is a nightmare.

that's because she is smart?

I can't wait for CGI to be good enough to remove her from Groundhog Day and replace her with Michelle Pfeiffer or Meryl Streep or someone like that.

Re: Napoleon Dynamite -- I watched it with girlfriend, housemate and housemate's girlfriend. I was the only one laughing and everyone else was looking at me funny. It is *very* dry (like The Weatherman with Nic Cage -- another very, very funny film that yielded similar results from the missus).

Then I leant it to a mate. I got a text saying 'What the f**k is this Napoleon Dynamite?!?'

It is an acquired taste...

:)

Ahhh, ok.

She is a nightmare.

Her face annoys me.

Yes that's right, WrongTale. That's exactly the reason I dislike Andie MacDowell. Because she's smart. Brilliant.

I endorse this sarcasm. :D
