Comedians of different subcultures

I was looking around the web and discovered this video on YouTube of a young stand-up called Bethany Black. You may have heard of her, she was a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards last year. What is interesting about her is that she is a goth, a lesbian and a fetishist. Her humour is not surprisingly somewhat dark. It will not be to everyone's taste, but I thought she was alright.

I was wondering if anyone else knew of comedians who of different sort of subcultures like goths, punks, cyber etc.

But is she funny?

As I said, I think she's alright. I personally think that she was good.

I thought she was funny!

Eddie Izzard is a transvestite; thats a subculture; not that it's hurt his career any.

EDIT:

Actually, is that a subculture? Its not the same as choosing to be all gothy I suppose.

I was going to say Eddie but I wasn't sure either....

Strangely I been looking up Black some more - she is a transsexual and had a sex-change operation from male-to-female. One review of Black said she was, "A seductively intriguing cross between Marilyn Manson and Corrie's Hayley Cropper."

No, Bethany Black, about whom I was talking about in my first post.

His status as a "comedian" is arguable, however.

Youre young my child, in the mid-nineties, when I first discovered him, he was still at the top of his stand-up game; the last ten years or so he hasnt really been as effective. And appears in crap films. And TV series. Used to be funny though. At least to me. Though he does look shit in a dress.

I've only seen his "mid-nineties" work. It's shit.

To you. It made me laugh. At the time. I found it good. Not shit. Yes. I did.

I saw him in the mid-90s, and went home during the interval. For all I knew, the second half of his show might have been brilliant, but the first half was so weak, I couldn't bring myself to stay and find out.

I used to think he was very funny too.
Back in the day he was massive! Everyone loved him.
