I don't think that much difference. Holland peaked too early and then people knew how to play them.

I have to admit, I was wrong about the Netherlands. My mate said, "They've peaked too early." I told him he was being an arse. I now eat humble pie, but then the vast majority of my predictions end being wrong, so I won't feign surprise.
I have a funny feeling about Russia though. They really look the business. Plus, they have all the gas, so Europe had better let them win.

They won Eurovision this year.
They won Ice Hockey World Championship this year (big thing over there in sports, second only to football)
They won men's Eurobasket, aka European Championship in basketball this year (also a big thing)
And then there's St. Peterburg Zenit winning UEFA cup.
Wouldn't it be an overkill?

I take it Russia won? I've just come in, and didn't see/hear anything about the game. Typical of me, I sat through all the boring group games, and missed both of the semi-finals.
