I'll get my coat then.

Bob Crane (50) - Murdered, and nobody was ever charged with his murder. Watch t the very good Autofocus for more info.

Lenny Bruce, bitches.

David Angell (Frasier producer) (55) - Died in 9/11. When the plane he was on hit one of the Twin Towers.

Phil Hartman, Simsons voice actor responsible for Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure, shot by his wife while he slept aged 49.

Err, no one mentioned Bernard Manning, how strange Whistling nnocently

Well he did reach 76, which isn't a particularly short span, and unlike some of the others mentioned (Richard Beckinsale, for example, who was in the middle of recording a series at the time of his death) wasn't quite in-demand in the same way at the time.

Ahh, I thought that there would be a logical explanation, thanks for clearing that up Aaron :P

Ever the voice of reason.

Harry Thompson (45) - Lung cancer.

The other thing about Hartman was that he was originally going to be the voice of Zapp Branigan in "Futurama". However, he was killed before the series started, so Billy West took over the role, doing it in Hartman's style.

A testament to health living.
