Without the r it looks so... I dunno
Doctor Who... Page 81
I'd prefer not imagine it without the r in the context of you and Matthew but I am sure Zooo will have a different opinion
Quote: Badge @ June 22 2008, 8:40 PM BSTCome on Matthew, take that deep breath and loosen that tie. Look back through the thread. I didn't get narked (until now, when you have personalised things). I have not questioned your entitlement to an opinion, and if I came across as condescending that's only due to the limitations of message boards - it certainly wasn't an intention. I admit I am a bit narked now with your reactionn and your own condescension (after all, it was you who suggested to me that I didn't understand the episode). Anyway, deep breath meself - it's only a stupid TV programme, and one which we both apparently like lots, so let's leave it there with no hard feelings and no intended condescension? Ok?
Yes, beacuse I felt some had missed the point of the episode, then you attacked me for voicing that opinion. If it is all down to forum limitations, not being able to get across your actual intent/tone/whatever, then there we go. I personally think you were sort of having a go at me for offering strongly differing opinions, both on this thread and the G & S one, you did actually say as much, but there we are. Other people do the same thing every other minute on here, but you chose to pick me up on it. I was condescending because you appeared to be being that very thing to me. If somehow what you wrote wasnt meant in that way, then this is all a misunderstanding that we can look back on with our grandchildren and have a fond chuckle over. But if you or anyone else says something I disagree with about the next episode, then I might very well pick them up on it. Its a sickness.
Jeez - what should I do with my next olive branch? Suggestions?
I think you're both trying to outdo each other with word count as well - perhaps a virtual arm wrestle might solve it?

Im tempted . . .
But admit you were having a go Badge, even to a small extent; theres no crime in it. We had a cyber-hissy fit and now move on.
Well, I won't. You can have the last word because I don't really think we are getting anywhere.
It's a good job you two are not arguing over something important .... ** hides **
Quote: Badge @ June 22 2008, 9:12 PM BSTWell, I won't.
Though you were, clearly. Like I say, theres no crime in it, but it was a dig; surely? The last word is mammal. Mammal.

(Looks for gun)
I only just got to watch the episode, so I'm late to the party as always. Double cliffhanger of Dr Who and Heroes = sadface.
I just rewatched the Children in Need episode to cheer me up. Wibbly wobbly timey wimey, and vegetable wearing = <3
Ya big girl - but bringing peace love and understanding was quite well-timed
Quote: Winterlight @ June 22 2008, 2:05 AM BSTI was confused about Billie's voice too. I would try and describe what I thought she sounded like, but I'd probably offend people.
It sounded a bit like she had totally forgotten what Rose sounded like. Has she had some weird surgery done too? Cos she looked a bit different as well - not the old-fashioned teeth-slightly-too-big-for mouth-that's-slightly-too-big-for-face-but-in-an-attractive-way Bille we loved from earlier.
I think this has already been mentioned but she seemed her old self on Confidential but did admit that she had bought box sets of the early Dr Who series and watched herself to get back in to the role.

Sorry, missed that. Must have been distracted.
Well I only know that because I watched Confidential earlier this evening
It also helped me understand some of the background re Bad Wolf as I cannot profess to being a devout fan of this programme. Having said that, I still found it less than "awesome" as I have already stated and I am beginning to think it is due to not being emotionally involved with it. I think I have become very cynical about life in general to get too wrapped up in a series anymore and, I know, that is my loss because I used to have passion for a lot of TV series in the past.
