I'll come with you, and pretend I was a forgotten relative. That, or just spend the whole time subtly making fun of them, so that you notice but they just get confused?

I don't dislike them :P

Sounds fun though.

I'm having my friend annotate my personal statement for me at the moment-anything seems fun to me!

Laughing out loud

I suppose I can be glad that I'm not doing that.

Apparently 3 or 4 lines of it are "pro" and one is "epic fail".

Epic fail!

Which line is epic fail?

It's a bit where I can't think of a second thing to say. Prepare for the awful, pretentious line which includes it. "...and literature is honestly something which I believe has shaped how I see the world, how I have come to know myself, and how I interpret the lives around me." I have changed the second "...how..." about 3 times, and it's still crap!

I think it has to be pretentious. The whole business is a bit pretentious really.

Oh believe me, I've stopped caring about how pretentious it is now-it's terrible for it!

Haha!

You'll be fine I'm sure.

Hmmm trying to decide if "indie" as in "indie music" needs to be in inverted commas when in the context of my personal statement...

Why are you referencing indie music?

To show I have some sort of life outside of school, apparently.

Oh. Can you really use that?

I don't know - But I am! My Head of Year used to be admissions tutor at Cambridge, and her sister is the admissions tutor at KCL, so I'll ask her.

You'd hope they would know :P

Well I'm off to a dull party now. Have fun re-working your personal statement Robyn!
