Are there actually any religious posters here?
(And I don't mean people who post religiously, before you try and make a quip.)

Quote: Geoff Mutton @ June 19 2008, 6:12 PM BSTWhoops! Sorry.
Sorry Geoff, I wasn't trying to drop you in it - just curious. I know they don't like us to use quotation marks and I suspect it is due to them being used in quotes and I am just wondering if it's the same with square brackets.

Are you having a clean-up of untidy threads?

What? On the Sabbath?
Haha!
I'm wondering if there's a lack of religious nuts, sorry, people, among those who like comedy...
To enjoy comedy, you should not be easily offended. That partially answers the question
You could be right.
The whole religious thing is ridiculous.
Sure it is a nice thought to think you are going to die & meet all your loved ones & live happiliy ever after on a cloud with the angels blah fooking blah. What a load of bolox.
In the words of old Marx, even as cavemen we needed answers for everything. When the thunder came we had no answers at that time, so presumed it must be mystical. From there anything that could not be explained was mystical & magical. Then one fine day a rich man built a large building & charged people to go into it & worship the mystical God. From there more rich people built more big buildings of worship & charged people along with putting fear into them, to not believe.
It is all a big money scam that is conning billions of people STILL!!!!!
Come on.... talking snakes, thousands of animals on a wee boat all caught by one man & his stick. Turning water into wine & parting a f**king sea. Its RIDIC!!!!
Come on Charley, let it out!

I think I remember that quote from "A Day at the Races"
I Lurrrrrve Marx. . Oh & guess what, we have proof he existed.
F**king drives me mad. People refusing blood transfusions, one religion killing another. People ploughing in 10% of their wages to churches. Weirdoes walking around with red threads on their wrists & do not get me started on Scientology.
You can murder & repent & be welcome into the Kingdom Of Heaven, but if you dont believe you will burn like a bastard for all eternity. F**k it. When I go anywhere I like it hot anyhoo.
Note that Religion has it's good side, teaches honesty, kindness and respect for your fellow man (on the whole).

Plus all the cool people are blatantly in hell. Heaven is probably full of weirdoes and self-righteous head cases anyway...
Quote: Alan C @ June 19 2008, 5:57 PM BSTAaron has this quote fecked up because Geoff used square brackets in his original post?
Yes. Another odd quirk I can't be arsed to work out on this limited-life board.

Yeah, same with that too.

I don't think it's possible to offend me. Does that mean I'm the best possible comedy fan?
