INT. LARGE ARENA

A CROWD IS PACKED INTO A LARGE ARENA. THE STAGE IS SET-UP FOR A LED ZEPPELIN PERFORMANCE. THE LIGHTS GO OUT.

ANNOUNCER
And now it's time for what you've all been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen, back for one night only... LED ZEPPELIN!

THE CROWD STARTS GOING CRAZY. A LONE FIGURE COMES ON STAGE KEPT IN DARKNESS.

THE LIGHTS COME BACK ON TO REVEAL RICK ASTLEY STANDING THERE AND THE MUSIC FOR "NEVER GONNA GIVE YOU UP" STARTS PLAYING.

That's surprisingly clever, nice one.

"Surprisingly" clever? You saying I'm thick, lol :P

Hahahaha! Rickrolling the whole of Wembley Stadium. Fantastic!

Haha! I love it! Laughing out loud

Bah I can't do right for doing wrong.

I'm in the minority here, I just don't get it:(

I only knew because of my dad "educating" me!

RickRolling (replacing the real thing with footage of Rick Astley) is an Internet joke, and a bit in-joke and cliquey for my tastes but then I am an old fart. It's like a few years ago everyone in the world was going on about "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" for about five minutes and then everyone in the world completely forgot about it. The problem with a gag like this is it needs to be on TV or Internet or wherever right now if at all. By the time you've got this in front of a TV prodco, RickRolling is going to be yesterday's news.

I would maybe say it's more popular than "All your base are belong to us", but I do agree that it probably will fade out soon enough.

All the more reason for me to get on with my writing quicker and make sure it gets on TV before it gets old. Ah one can dream Pleased

Worth a try. Even Ian Hislop mentioned it on HIGNFY a few weeks back.

Sweet little gag. You could put this together yourself with a little stock footage and a smidgen of editing nous.
