Well to the girls there at least, boys are that shallow.

Pah!
I'll use you as a public speaker there, until you see how lovely they all are and go to jelly.

I'm sorry, you've lost me.
I meant I'd use you as a representative to tell them that boys aren't shallow, until you saw them being pretty and bottled it.
Quote: PhQnix @ June 12 2008, 3:44 PM BSTWe're not that shallow y'know. Some boys look beyond the facade of beauty to the inner soul, that which determines a person's true nature.
They're the ones who get to cop off with munters.
Intended to prove the point?

Hey! Us ugly people need to find someone. We like to comfort ourselves with ridiculous ideas about inner beauty
And Robyn that's probably just about sums up what would happen. We're suckers really.

*cough*MustIreallysayself-depricationAGAIN!?*cough*
And awww! I hate all that about inner beauty though-it's become such a caricature of itself, such a cliche-even if it is true.

I think we're so far down the timeline of humanity that it's rare that anything is original. Especially with romance, it always sounds like a cliché, unfortunately. I blame Hallmark.
That's why classic romance novels are always the best. Well, Austen mainly imho. Haha! Everyone blames Hallmark! And rightly!

I've never read anything by Austen. I'll add that to my "To-Read" list.
You might find her pretentious and girly, but Pride and Prejudice is another one of the books that made me cry.

I'm pretentious and girly, sounds good
How many books have made you cry? I'd wager one or two for me...
