And how do you feel about women wearing makeup?

Dodgy.

I feel weird without some sort of beard.

Women have been given a tick from society to embelish their true appearance by applying make-up and some apply so much you wouldn't recognise them with it off. A beard(and or moustache) is one of the few ways a man can change his facial appearance. But, in both cases, there is a reason for why it has been done and I believe it is to hide something about yourself - whether it is physical or psychological.

Now here's a man who knows what he's on about.

And has perhaps spent a little too long thinking about it ... But is still correct!

I reckon I have spent a good few hours over the past 50 years wondering why I have this opinion but nothing too sinister. The "never trust a man with a beard" saying stems from the Army, I believe, and probably refers to their animosity to the Navy. But I have grown beards in the past and I always knew why I grew it. Some people grow them to change the look of their face and others to hide from the person they see in the mirror in the morning. I know that mine was the latter.

I do it to hide my baby face and it shapes my jaw line better. Oh and because I'm lazy.

and what about men wearing makeup?

Sally Phillips has a beard in an episode of Hippies and I think she looked quite hot. As for men, if your face isn't up to much, then by all means grow something to cover it up. Look at Noel Edmons or Alan Sugar, they wouldn't be the men they are now without the chin foliage.

I saw Noel Edmonds without a beard and he looked less of a slimey git IMHO

He is a bit of a slimey git, especially when he's leching over female contestants on Deal or No Deal. Sick But any man who can kill a member of the public on teatime TV deserves our respect.

Mine came about 'cos I was too lazy to shave for about a month, so you have to try what you look like with different beards, taches etc. when that happens. I just kind of liked how it looked when I tried this particular one.

i have a full beard with matching moustache. although i'm saddled with strawberry blond accusations, it's a much better burden than having to shave. shaving is for boys. beards are for men.

It's actually the opposite. Your real man goes out into the world with his naked face proudly on display.

Hear hear. I've had enough with people bad-mouthing beards, mostly people who are unable to grow a decent one and are jealous of all the real men.

Never trust a man who can't grow a decent beard is what I say.

We're not bad-mouthing beards just the people who grow them ;) j/k

The first thing women do who've had gender realignment surgey is to grow a beard. Whenever I see a man with a beard, I think, I wonder how long since they had the operation. :D
