This is from a group called Ugly Duckling:
We've been eating, breathing and sleeping Hip hop since way back
When shoelaces were fat, and Michael Jackson was black.

Hahahaha.
I posted the lyrics to Rudebox by Robbie Williams in the crap lyrics thread but I love this bit:
"OK then back to spaceship,
Take both pills, f**k the matrix
Jack those jills, shake your Playtex
Rock three stripes, not the Asics
A.D.I.D.A.S.
Old school 'cos it's the best
TK Maxx costs less
Jackson looks a mess"
I do, for some reason, like Robbie.

Not for "some reason", it's because he is actually amazing.
I want to include the line "They're selling razor blades and mirrors in the street" from Come Undone in this thread because I love the fact there's a mainstream pop song with a chorus about cocaine.
He does have something about him.
The X factor I suppose.
Not that X Factor.
The other one.
When's he coming back? I think everyone's pissed off with him cos he buggered off to live in LA.

His songs are quite anthemic I think. I don't know how to describe it really. He was addicted to painkillers and red bull (wtf?!) recently so he think he went a bit reclusive to get over that. He's supposed to be releasing a new album soon, but I think it's an album of swing songs rather than a pop album.
Bloody students.
I'd like to add pretty much any lyric ever uttered by the great Vivian Stanshall.

You are a very strange young man.

Not all students are horrible! Although I do go to Sussex Uni which is the most left-wing liberal university in existance. There's protests every week. Not that I'm right-wing or anything, but it can get bloody annoying.
I do have some bizarre tastes, yes. I don't know where my liking for Robbie Williams comes from.

Most are. (You don't know my definition of 'horrible'. )

Burn it. Burn it up.
Or perhaps of greater effect, burn them.
Catholic schoolgirls throw away their mascara, they chain themselves to the axels of big men trucks. The sky is full of herds of trembling angels. The fat lady laughs, gentlemen start your trucks. Joan Crawford - Blue Oyster Cult
"In the dark she is rocking, not to records but to voices in her head."
The Geraldine Fibbers - "Lilybelle"
"I know the world is vicious darling, lets make tracks
we'll tear up all the history books and start our lives here!"
~ 'The City Is At Standstill by Liam Frost & The Slowdown Family
I've always loved that lyric. I also thought it might make a halfway-decent chatup line. Y'know on a girl as equally odd as me
"My body is a cage
That keeps me from dancing with the one I love
But my mind holds the key"
~ 'My Body Is A Cage' by Arcade Fire
Pretty self-contained really. It's hard to pick one lyric from these guys though...
I'm partial to a bit of 'Thunder Road' by Bruce Springsteen...
The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways
Like a vision she dances across the porch
As the radio plays
Roy Orbison singing for the lonely
Hey that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again, I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside, darling you know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty, but hey you're alright
Oh and that's alright with me
OK Go - What To Do
"Sweetheart, you'll find mediocre people do exceptional things all the time"
Superb.
