...sun
Lays me down with my mind she runs
Throughout the night
No need to fight
Never a frown with golden brown

Stranglers rule! Peaches and No more Heroes are amazing if you can put up with the sexism Laughing out loud

Their first album is one of my all-time favourites!

Thanks but I lost out and had to get freezing cold water thrown against me as I stood semi naked against my garden wall.... Jeeze the games us kids play.... anywho thanks for sending the lyrics. Another game of adult suicide attempts on friday... I'm hoping for the lizard eatin marathon.... fingers crossed I win at strip poker.

Are you in the area of France which drives people mad Reiss?

I don't think so ("Get all those F**ki** sheep out my bed and start hoovering the moss off the windows") I live near Cognac & Anguleme its just that the village i live in is quiet. ("leave the turnips alone i want catctus soup) No its just your typical frency village. Though i'm coming back to Kingston for a few months to work at John Lewis at Xmas for a reality check and a bit of pocket money. (" hang on monkey boy i'm talking on the Tinter-net") so no its not really that mad thanks for asking.

Why are you living there anyway...?

Because Englands so appealing....Erm... you got me there. I had an oppertunity to move to France or Manhattan (to live with my Aunt) but I needed a green card. so I chose France. England was too expensive to live in if I wanted to write full time. France is very relaxed i have my mates out here as well. But really i wanted to live out my one of my idols lifes (Dirk Borgarde) so i did what he did. Also there pain au raison's are second to none.

"Identity is the crisis can't you see!" X-Ray Spex

"While we're living,
The dreams we had as children fade away"

Fade Away - Oasis

"Maybe I will never be
All the things that I'd like to be
But now is not the time to cry
Now's the time to find out why"

Live Forever - Oasis

"Paint me a wish on a velvet sky"

Good To Be Free - Oasis

I'm a bit of an Oasis fan. Don't know why I like the last one, I don't know what it means, it just sounds cool.

This is one I've posted before, on another thread, but I just love it. It's from a song called 'Fat Cats, Bigga Fish', by an obscure Hip hop group, called The Coup (as in Military Coup, with a silent "p"):

The street light reflects off the piss on the ground
Which reflects off the hamburger sign as it turns round
Which reflects off the chrome of the BMW
Which reflects off the fact that I'm broke
Now what the f**k is new?

"I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing"

Faster - Manic Street Preachers

"Did it all get real? I guess it’s real enough
They got refrigerators full of blood
Another century spent pointing guns
At anything that moves"

Easy/Lucky/Free - Bright Eyes

You are such a student.

A lot of the lyrics I like are depressing, almost just like slogans for the manic depressive. I used to be pretty miserable before I came to university though. And I think depressing songs are more honest. The world's a shit place!

Reminds me of the quote from High Fidelity: "Do I listen to pop music because I'm sad? Or am I sad because I listen to pop music?"

Oh Mr. Cusack again...
