He came on and talked about his height... he really is SOOOOOOOOOO tall. I was in the second row so you can imagine how much taller he was than us! Was so funny. He's 6 ft 7! He then started talking about the impracticalities of being so tall... such as buying freak show clothes and having sex. We got actions and everything. I was quite aroused.
Going to see stand-up Page 10
I bet you were. More than you've seen this year, eh?
Yes. I am a deprived naughty little girl.
Who needs a span- WAIT A MINUTE. You're not taking me down your track of sordid debauchery, missy!
(Not at this time of the morning anyway.)
Best stand-up show I've been to was the first time I saw Jimmy Carr on his 'Gag Reflex' tour (when it came out on DVD it was called 'Comedian' though). He was so so funny, he is so quick and deals with hecklers so brilliantly it's unreal. I went to the DVD recording of his last tour (Repeat Offender) recently which wasn't as funny, but still really good.
Special mention goes to Russell Howard - I think only one other person has mentioned him so far. I saw him at the Hen & Chickens early this year. I don't know if anyone's been there but it's a TINY room above a pub, seats only 51 people. He was brilliant, and being so close made me do a bit of a sexwee.
Anyone else like Milton Jones? Thought he was incredibly funny too.
Anyone like Demetri Martin? He's someone I've wanted to see for a while but I don't know if he tours over in the UK much.
Ah, Milton Jones has always stuck in my head. Saw him on the Comedy Store on Paramount years ago. Very, very funny.
Awesome! Sounds good.
I'm going to see some stand up on Thursday and Simon Day from the Fast Show is going to be there. I'm excited!
I was supposed to be going to see Dylan Moran, Ardal O'Hanlon and Tommy Tiernan at the Echo Arena in Liverpool this Saturday. Box seats and everything. But owing to a series of events too tedious to go into, it's just gone pear-shaped.
Grrr.
I love Dylan and Tommy.
Frankie Boyle's amazing. I was watching some of my Mock The Week DVD last night and he had me in stitches. I like him being risky, one joke of his I remember from a while ago is something like "For anti-speeding adverts they should show a clip of Richard Hammond trying to remember his wedding day"
When I saw Mock The Week being recorded he did a joke about having a Princess Diana satnav that says "put you're foot down, we'll lose them" and there was a real audible gasp before most people pissed themselves.
Madeleine McCann? The parents did it!
Dear Mr Brown,
I act on behalf of Kate and Gerry McCann, parents of . . . . etc, etc.

Did he put on a Princess Diana voice?
I do love it when he puts on a voice.
Quote: Paul Carroll @ June 10 2008, 3:49 PM BSTShould be good Ellie! Enjoy! I'm going to see Ed Byrne, Russell Howard, Jason Manford and Lee Evans in the next few months. So as you can expext I can not wait! lol
Great. I am actually so excited about seeing Lee Evans in November. It's just a bit surreal we bought the tickets over a year before going to see him.

Nah he didn't put a voice on sadly! I can't remember ever hearing him put a voice on actually, I'm going to use that as an excuse to watch some Frankie clips on youtube now.
