Not getting away from it all

Having just returned from my Londinium odyssey the same thing happened to me on this trip as it always does. On the train I ran in to one of the girls from the band I play in. Not unusual in such confined surroundings. In Covent Garden her and her friends came in to the same pub and I saw her again after seeing Buddy in the evening. This sort of thing is a regular occurrence.
I once met a guy I hadn't seen for 20 years half way up a ski slope in Bulgaria. I met my next door neighbours on the ferry between Malta mainland and Gozo and once when snorkelling in Rhodes I surfaced next to one of the guys I play cricket with. Is it me?

Afriad so, but most people I know have never gone more then 50 miles from where they were born so I can't compare obviously.

That's mad! I never see anyone I know... which is a good job cause I'm a bit of an idiot when I'm away from home.

Oh I lie... while in Aus I met a girl in Melbourne who I went to primary school with...

Yes I saw Buddy which was excellent and a jolly good time was had by one and all. Thanks for arranging the weather up there as well all you Londiniums. It were great.

It's never happened to me personally but I was on holiday with an ex (she wasn't an ex at the time) in Rhodes and she met someone from her street.

My friend and I went to Crete in 1990 and it later transpired that one of the girls who took the apartment the week after we left ended up going out with my mate.

That same holiday we both met two girls from Stoke who bumped into my mate 3 months later on the promenade in Blackpool!

Funny how things work out.

I've been to London.

I'm going to London on Thursday too to see Life Coach with Phill Jupitus. It's a long story but I may get chance to get a chinwag with the writer of the show too.
