What, no one's mentioned The Persuaders?! Tsk
What's the world's greatest theme tune? Page 4
A children's show from Australia called Round The Twist had the greatest theme tune ever.
Quote: Bad dog @ June 4 2008, 10:37 AM BSTI watched Gangsters recently. Timbo, do you like the instrumental theme from series 1 or the one with lyrics from series 2?
I think it must be the theme to series one, as that was the series that knocked my socks off* (as I recall series two largely disappeared up its own arse). To be honest I don't recall too much about the theme other than that it was great and that Dave Greenslade wrote it (I was kind of into his music at the time.)
*And the original play of course.
In fact John Barry composed most of the best 70s theme tunes.

Catchy, but cheesey and bad.

When you watch series 2 youu immediately notice that the opening titles have changed, and the theme now has lyrics, which take a bit of getting used to, but it does fit in with the odd feel of the second series. Yes, it probably does disappear a bit!
Mr Ben!
Red Dwarf.
Hill Street Blues
Thirty Something
Tales of the Unexpected
Hammer House of Horror
Rainbow!
Peep Show has a very well-chosen theme tune. Especially after that plinky-plonky rubbish they used in series one.
Dan
Ooh, Charlie Brooker!
Ace theme tune.
Ulysses 31
Popeye and Son
