I thought you guys would like this. At my new job I work at we were listening to the radio when a new radio host came on who happens to have a British accent. One of the 20 year old girls in my office says "Oh no not him again! I don't understand anything he says why can't they find someone who speaks English"!
I then explained to her that this person was English and in fact from England and she responded "well he sounds stupid".
Keep in mind that she later tried to correct my English when I said the word "corporatization" and she said "isn't it corporatiminazation"? I tried to politely correct her but I don't think she believed me. I think her first language might also be French, but I'm not sure as her accent is very faint. Nice girl though.
