Aye, they wrote most of the early Manics songs before Richey disappeared. Wrote some f**king good (and sometimes pretty disturbing) songs.
Who are your heroes? Page 6
Ahh ok, I see.
Elvis Costello, David Bowie, David Webb, Dan Dare.
I don't really do heroes. You always end up disillusioned. Be your own hero. And wear your underpants outside your trousers.
No, I can't think of anyone who really properly personifies "hero" for me (and I'm not going down the clichéd, sickly route of "my parents"). Individual qualities, achievements and whatnot, certainly. But not a hero all-round. So for now I'm sticking with the genius who has banned booze from London transport. (Effective or not.)
Aw. I can imagine him in a cape.
Immense thought.
When I was 7 I bought a poster of Bruce Willis from Athena and wrote in felt tip pen 'Bruce Willis is my hero' across the bottom.
That is the last time I had a hero.
I do not know why I picked him. If anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it.
Die Hard.

Moonlighting? Plus you thought he was hot? Back then anyway?
Or summink.
Well I don't now.
I actually had a fit of giggles at that. Not sure why!
I used to like Moonlighting. First thing I saw him in - and her. And there was something about Cybil Shepherd too. I think it's the way she walked like a duck.
Not another man who wants to be kissed by a duck...
I'm that bored, I'm going through old threads!
I dunno about heroes but I admire:
Matthew Barney
Ade Edmondson
Amy and David Sedaris
John Waters
David Bowie
Nicole Morrier
Christian Slater
Annie Sprinkle
Kate Pearson
Lloyd Newson
Betty Page
Jem
Heroes impile worship and that is a leeeetle too far for me!
Maybe "Eatin' crackers" Slater.....
