British Comedy Guide

Which sitcom character do you fancy?

This topic was inspired by a thread in General Discussion that I could not be bothered to open because it ran to 95 pages (my God, you're a horny lot), but I thought in any case it might be interesting to keep the focus on the Board's raison d'etre, and while we are about it poke around in the darker recesses of members subconscious.

I shall start the ball rolling with two nominations for the Brittas Empire, Jill St. John's cool Laura and Pippa Heywood's neurotic Helen.

Also well worth a, cough, mention, is Barbara's Flynm's milkwoman in Open All Hours, though she was probably at her most fanciable in the Biederbecke Affair, and as comedy drama I am not sure that counts.

I am waiting to see who tops the poll, Barbara Good is the bookies' favourite, but I wouldn't rule out Nora Batty...

Lois Griffin, and Leela offa' Futurama.

Yes I love cartoon ladies, wanna make something of it?

There's something a little wrong with this thread. Laughing out loud

Are we talking the personality of the character, or shallow aesthetics of the actor/actress?

It's got to be the whole package. Compo didn't fall for Nora Batty just because of her body.

Was her tights, too.

Ooh no I thought she was at her most fanciable in A Very Peculiar Practice :D

No that's fine, but hand puppets could be a little creepy...

Tim from Spaced.
Howard Moon.
Bernard Black.
Guy Secretan.

Oooh Guy...

Ooooh indeed!

*touches face* I'm me in here!

I am also going to confess to finding Thelma in Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads disturbingly attractive...

Her sister Susan (Anita Carey) was my favourite - always catching Terry off guard with her little innuendos :)

Bret and Jemaine!
And Andy Millman. (But not David Brent.)

Guy Secretan.

Who? What show please.

I shall be predictable, Rachel from friends and Penny from BBT.
