Gummo Dimbleby. My new nom de plume.
Episode 4 was funny in spots, but felt a bit non eventful and quick. The ending was frustrating. I felt like "oh no, Jez ruins it at the last moment yet again and then Mark gives him that 'oh you!' look".
They've gone from a surreal series 4 back down to a mundane series 5. Still very funny in spots, but I cant help thinking that unless there is a big series finale of sorts, series 5 will be viewed (by me at least!) as a bit of a let down.
I'm still hopeful of a Mark and Sophie reunion, or even a glimmer of it - I think there could be quite a lot of comedy value in a woman finally coming between the two, perhaps she even moves into the flat, I see a lot of scope there.

Yeah, me too. I think this would be the ideal way to go for proper embarassment factor.
Dan
What's so desirable about this "embarrassment factor"?
Actually, no, that's too off-topic. New thread time.

Actually, the Americans call them "season finales".

Well I rarely get past episode 1 of most American shows so a season finale is a mere speck on the horizon for me
I believe they're called seasons in 'merica cause they tend to run for much longer then the six episode series we have here. Which means when they come to the end of a 5 month run they need a big season finale.

Yes normally 22-24 episodes but that would fill up 2 seasons of the year so why call them seasons?
Because they're yanks, and think they are wonderful.
They call autumn ''fall'' for fecks sake!!?? ...because the leaves ''fall'' off the trees.

Fall was used to describe Autumn in England first actually, as are many words and phrases that are thought to be American in origin.
I have my QI hat on today

All very true. But that doesn't make it right!
What shall we call Summer? Hot?
