Did I ever claim to?

Did I ever say you claimed to?

Indirectly.

Nope, I was just re-affirming what I knew you already knew.

I'm off to confused.com now!

I never saw any of those...well I saw Quantum Leap of course but none of those other ones mentioned.

Don't worry Curt, I've only even heard of about three of them.

Have you never seen Doomwatch? It predicted a great many of our current ecological and scientific problems back in 1970! Conspiracies galore :)

Here is something my fellow 80's nerds might appreciate: I went to that Glebe garage sale (it's A giant garage sale put on by the rich folk in Ottawa) and I was able to buy (still in their original packaging) models of the Airwolf helicopter, the original Battlestar Galactica ship and a model of Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Dutch from the movie Predator. How much did I pay for all of this? 5 dollars!
I'm totally going to be able to sell them on Ebay for waaaaaaay more.
The guy who was selling them told me he had bid on an unopened storage locker. He had no idea what was inside as it hadn't been sealed in the early 90's and hadn't been opened since. The guy just wanted to get rid of them. Sweeeeeet. One mans burden is another mans fortune.

I haven't seen the last episode since it was on telly back in '94.

I was always a bit confused by the ending. It was sad.

I'd love to watch The Tripods. I read a couple of books based on the series and found them entertaining.

All the episodes are on Youtube broken into 10 minute chunks. So watch all the 3 legged goodness, the 2nd season is like 80s Dr who, with a bigger effects budget.

Are you not now scared that you've had a Hickey level of good karma, some bad Karma may be coming your way?

I maintain that the Xfiles is a massively inferior rip off.

Indiana Jones was the bad nerd Karma this is the good nerd karma to balance it out.

Yay, Tripods = awesome.
The Triffids too.
It is all very grey and miserable, you're right. I love it.

Like those old Tales of The Unexpected.

I always thought Tales was wonderfuly camp and silly. Sort of like if Mateus Rose, and Old Spice were TV programmes, and I loved the dancing woman.

Triffids though was uniquely good, Triffid guns, stingers, that stick clicking thing they did.

And that beard, what an awsome beard!

Did any one else wander why thue didn't get one of those giant industrial bush trimmers councils use? And mow them all down?

That does explain a bit... ;)

I'm not radioactive!

Ah zooo, me and you could probably reminisce for hours about all the things 23 year olds grew up with :)

Laughing out loud
Let's!

No. Never heard of it before.

I'd pop a disk in with your other stuff if I thought you would watch it?

I rarely watched the X Files but I thought that was all about UFO's etc?
