The Rude Man

On advice in my other thread, I shall post individual sketches. So, here goes...

INT. a cafe - day

There is a man stood at the counter speaking to the female worker. The camera is an over the shoulder shot of the man.

Man: Yes, I'll have a ham sandwich and hurry it up because I have places to be and you're not getting any prettier.

The woman looks shocked and walks off into the kitchen. We hear the sound of someone doing that snarling kind of noise you make when you want to spit out phlegm, followed by a spitting sound. The woman returns from the back with a sandwich on a plate.

Woman: Here's your sandwich sir

Cut to

int. a bar - day

The same man is stood at a bar. We hear the phlegm-inducing noise and a spitting sound. The barman appears holding a pint. The camera is an over the shoulder shot of the man.

barman: Here's your pint sir

Cut to

int. a DIY shop - day

The same man is stood at a counter. We hear the phlegm-inducing noise and a spitting sound. The assistant appears with a wheelbarrow. The camera is an over the shoulder shot of the man.

assistant: Here's your wheelbarrow sir

Cut to

int. a Pharmacist - day

The same man is stood at a counter. We hear the phlegm-inducing noise and a spitting sound. The pharmacist appears holding a paper bag. The camera is an over the shoulder shot of the man.

pharmacist: Here's your insulin sir

Cut to

INT. A HOSPITAL ROOM - DAY

The same man is stood next to a woman on a bed looking very sweaty and tired. They are holding hands. We hear the same phlegm-inducing noise and a spitting sound. A midwife appears holding a baby. The camera is an over the shoulder shot of the man.

midwife: Here's your baby sir

Didn't laugh out loud, but still thought it was a good sketch. You seem to have a talent. I think maybe you should have an example of him being rude twice though, I could be wrong.

Yeah, theres not enough rudeness to set up what follows.

Or the golden three times rules may apply here?

you could actually shrink it down by having a couple extra examples of him being rude then the first time we DONT see the rudeness is with the baby?

Great idea, but yeh he could be ruder.
