I had assumed so.
Ha!
David Brent is well acted because essentially - I think - he's more Ricky Gervais than anything else. There's something of the desperate about him though, which gervais seems to play on a lot.
For my tuppence, the worst sitcom actor was, without parallel, The bloke who played Norris in Porridge OR that bloke who played the cockney son in Reggie Perrin, who was so awful, his name has been erased from history.
Johnny Vaughan, Frank Skinner notwithstanding.
I don't like Ricky Gervais but I think he's a fair actor...

I didn't say he wasn't. I just think that he more or less plays aspects of himself in these things. Oh, hold on - that *is* acting. Sorry.
I Think chloe annette got better after season 7, I agree Naboo is terrible but i love him anyway... it just works for some reason.
however, i never minded mike in the young one's until i knew it could have been peter richardson, now i can't help but wonder how cool that would have been.
Donald Sinden in Never The Twain, can't remember the last time I saw such a muggy, uncontrolled 'comedy' performance.
A straight actor that made the fatal flaw of assuming comedy acting is just lots of overt 'larking about'.
Makes me cringe to watch...
I thought that he was pretty good in Two's Company though.
Apologies if this has already been said, but Ralph Little in Two Packets.... is embarassing to watch, which is only one reason why I don't.
He has good comic timing though Ralph, shame the material he is working with is duff though.
I agree Martin, i thought he was pretty good in Royle family, o.k he wasn't the main actor but he performed well in his role, i think two pints is a little bit awful but he was quite good in it.
I've yet to be convinced about Ralph. I think it may be a case running before walking. No disrespect to him though.
