Very excited for tonight's Champions League Final Page 3

Will someone explain the mind of TV news editors to me?

It's a good point. I happened to catch BBC1 news at about 22:26 - as the penalties were taking place. Their reporter was telling viewers they were 1-1 on penalties (but obviously couldn't show the action). If you're interested in the football surely you'd be watching ITV, not the news. And if you are watching the news, football must be the last thing you're interested in. i.e. they were talking to no one.

Slow hand-clap for Chelsea though. Terry should never be allowed to take a penalty again - he can never get them in.

As i'm sure that me and 20 million other people have never been asked whether we watched coronation street on monday how in hell do they know their figures are correct? Teary

Did you see Coronstion Street on Monday?

(only another 20 million to go)

Well, the starting lineups were 5-4 to Utd.

In the end, I didn't mind who won. I'm surprised more of the players didn't miss their penalties, you can't blame Terry for slipping. I think Chelsea deserved to win, but that's football.

Um - no. 4-4.

Hargreaves is a bloody Canadian.

Sorry - I miscounted.

Well Rooney's hardly human let alone English.

He dislocated his elbow 10 days ago - it affected his balance :D

Even though I hate the f**king c**ts.

Why do they always bring up a plane crash 50 f**king years ago? Is everyone supposed to sympathise?

Not that I'm bitter or anything!

Its folklore/history and part of the United heritage like Hillsborough and Heysel is to Liverpool

Still, Ronaldo missed a penalty - that was worth more than a chuckle?! :D

He was due that - his stuttering run-up shouldn't be allowed and it was great that he scuppered himself this time.

But I do think he's a genuinely great player.

Yeah, and they should bloody get over it too.

But they caused both of them.

So are you saying Manchester United caused their own plane crash?

Their pilot had the foresight to crash into a mountain, I think?

Look Dave mate, you're team were very unlucky and I personally think they deserved to win. But even you'll have to admit, I know it is easy for me to say being a United fan, but it was one of the greatest games of football of all time. United and Chelsea gave English football alot of credit. Drogba had been asking for that all season, just like Jens Lehmann was when he got sent off against Barcelona in the 2006 Champions League Final. Anyway Dave unlucky man. But great to see Paul Scholes get a medal.

David, David, David you cannot possibly back up the notion that Liverpool fans bribed the Sheffield police to push them in so tightly to one end of the ground so that they could all get crushed to death? :(
